A friend and I went to Gerstle Cove this morning.  Swells were no big deal.  Very windy topside.  Visability was mostly about 2 feet.  Once we exited the cove and got down below 20 feet or so, the visibility opened up to a max of about 8 feet.  Not a great dive day.  But, we didn't return full tanks to the dive shop either.

Considering fishing / spearfishing Ft. Ross next Saturday.  Kind of a wild card if I'll be able to go. Is the spearing any good at the Fort now?

Too bad about the vis.

To this day Gerstle Cove is still one of my most favorite dives.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...
