I continued my search for topwater bass this week with trips on Thurs., Fri., and Monday.  Fished the morning each day from dawn until lunch-time.  On Thursday, I caught a few small fish.  I wasn't setting the hook well and lost a big big bass at the boat when the hook pulled loose.  I then proceded to miss the next five fish on my popper including one that broke the line.  Luckily poppers float, and I CAN'T SET THE HOOK; so, I was able to get it back.   :smt001

Friday, I hooked up with Colt45 for another round.  I was able to get a few fish to stick, but continued to miss the hookset on a half a dozen hits or more.  Colt45 was able to get his first Delta Bass to the boat.  He also has an awesome camera mount system set up for his boat--very well thought out.  I was able to scratch out a few more bass on spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and crankbaits.  I also caught two and a half catfish(one got off at the boat) on the crankbait. (pic4, taken by Colt45)

Today, Monday, I got to try my new "vanity mount" for my camera.  It worked out okay, but I still need to work on the FisHunter pose.  I don't have a knife  :smt065  (that's suppose to be a pirate).  I ended up with seven fish today, two were 3.5 pounds (pics 1 and 2), three were 1.5 pounds (pic 3), and the other two were dinks.  I talked with several bassers, and it was a slow morning for them too.  I am using poppers in the morning.  After the sun gets up a bit in the sky, I switch to a crankbait worked through the weeds.

I'll be out there Tues, Wed, and Thurs too.  Maybe an evening trip also.

Vanity mount - I approve!   :smt003  Let's see a shot of Colt45's setup if you can.

Nice reporting on good action as usual, Bryan.   :smt001

Abking...

Hopefully Colt45 will post some pics of it...I don't have any.  You are still the "king" of Fish Porn Video's.  What's your set-up?  What video camera do you use?  I'd like to get some kind of set-up to take videos.  PM me if you can.
