Anyone know where I can buy a charger that will handle 10 NiMH AA batteries?  All the chargers do 8, but you need 10 rechargeables to get a full 12 volts.

I've had no luck finding a 10-cell charger.  You'll just have to give yourself the extra time required to make two runs to get all of the batteries charged...

Yeah, I was going to pick up a 2nd one myself...I have more than 10 batteries and figured I may as well start using the other ones in my GPS unit.  I've just been too lazy to head to Fry's (plus, that place is dangerous...it's like Costco; I always spend too much money there).  :smt002

If you google, "10 cell charger" you will come up with a bunch of options.

http://www.greenbatteries.com/10celanimbat.html

You can also use an automatic 12v charger and charge all 10 cells wired together.  Use an adjustable rate or low amperage one.

Pep boys carries a Deltran Battery Tender Jr. that works well for charging 12v at 0.75amps.

Fry's has a similar much lower quality 12v charger for about 20 dollars.

here is a 12v 600 milliamp charger for 10.99

Do not exceed a 1 amp charge rate for AA size NiMH cells.

I went the economy route and picked up a tenergy NiMH charger combo from http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=845. $35 for the 10 cell charger with 10 AA batteries. The charger seems to work fine. The batteries... well, I don't think they really pull the full 2600 mAh rating. But 8 of 'em have powered my eagle 245 for 4 hours. Might be worth doing some research to see if this is a quality product. Good luck.

I likes the look of this and may upgrade soon.  Kills the battery holder/charger/battery type question in one blow.

Thanks for the help you guys.  First I thought, great this ten cell charger is exactly what I'm looking for.  Then I thought, great this pre-packaged deal of 2-skinny's is the thing.  But then Shimmy's deal with the water-bottle really looks like the hot ticket.  On this site, all you have to do is ask.  Think I'm gonna try the water bottle (and use it on my bike too).
