Gonna be camping with some friends in amongst the wildfires at Trinity Lake next week. If anyones around we'll be on the yaks on Stuarts Fork. Might also do some shorelining on the river for Salmon if I can figure out the regs and a place to fish, :smt017 (any advice appreciated!).

Cemetery hole is one of the best in the upper river this time of year. http://www.trinityriveradventures.com/images/maps/UpperTrinityRiver.jpg
It also holds Sea run Browns in the tailout as does the hole right below the Steel Bridge in Lewiston.

There is some world Class trout Fishing in the stretch of river between The Dam and Lewiston Lake if you can find a schedule of when they turn the turbines on. Park at one of the access points below the dam and paddle up as far as you can or if you have two cars park one at Lake View Terrace then drift night crawlers. When the turbines are on the fish move up close to the dam and go on a frenzy and will hit just about anything. The willows below Lake View can also be very good trolling Rapalas or Fly Fishing.
Wear a wetsuit the water comes out of the bottom of the lake and is freezing.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I'm heading down to Monterey for a family trip  otherwise I'd be over there to fish with you guys.  Bring your sunscreen (it's 113 degrees today) and be ready for the smoke, it's been pretty bad.  I don't know if the fish are all the way up to Lewiston yet (Cemetary Hole), might have to run down a little further...check out the Pigeon Point area, lots of holes and good access down there.

Tight Lines,
Ben
