Greetings,

I definitely got a late start today.  Didn't hit the water until about 4:00pm.  The water was pretty nice considering it was in the afternoon.  There was a little swell(3-6ft/9s).  The wind was picking up at I moved out to the kelp bed/reefs.  The fog was also creeping it's way toward me, but I decided to give it a solid attempt before throwing in the towel.

The Garmin 300C FF works!  I actually marked fish during the paddle and drift.  Speaking of the drift, it was pretty fast.  This time I had to employ the paddle-in-place drift technique to stay over the "spot".  Snagged at least 5 times!  I must be fishing in the right spot... Lots of nibbles, then...the fish wanted to move on to the entrees.

Finally, take downs inbound.  There were a bunch that I missed.  However, there was one BIG, really BIG take down...  Blah, I begin to bring it up and think....what the heck is it?   It became unbuttoned on the way up.  Dang...  I kept working over that spot.  It produced little fish for dinner.  The larger ones were about 12+/- inches.  That little one was also gut hooked so I gave it a proper burial into my stomach.  By tomorrow morning/afternoon it will make its way back to the sea.

Came back into around 7pm.  The fog had rolled in and the man upstairs turned the wind down.

Thanks Mooch for giving me a tour of HMB last month.  It paid off today!

Cool report, GA.  Are the fish photos before and after cooking/cleaning?  How'd you prepare those?   :smt001
