I would try calling Wilderness Systems and see if you can get repair material. I know when I needed some repair material for some scrapes on my F&D I called on Cobra and they were kind enough send me a block, thin slab, and repair polyethylene rope the same color material all at no charge.

I'd invest in a kayak cart its a lot cheaper that replacing the kayak.

you need someone who does plastic welding. Or do it yourself if you are handy with a choked down heat gun.

I'm gonna get a roll of special tape that is used for roofing repairs.

I have used it quite a bit and it will stick to anything. We once cut off a foot long slice of it (6" wide) and stuck it to an asphalt pavement parking lot that was under water (about 3 inch deep puddle) and you couldn't pull it off. It is completely waterproof and very strong even more so than duct tape. And remember parking lots are essentually oil, if it will stick to that it will stick to anything.

It might be something handy to have for emergencies while on the water. Like a visit from the landlord or when taking on water.

I will see if I can get some and try it out to see how it works.
I will report on the product later.

I know my friends body shop does plastic welding.  I've often wanted to try putting rhino liner on my old kayak.  I wonder how it would work.  I'm sure if you call around you might find a body shop to help you.  Good luck.
