Hit the Delta several times in the last week.  I went in the evening last week and picked up 5 fish on topwater.  It was windy, so that made it tough.  Later in the week I tried the morning.  Windy again, 6 fish in the boat.  Nothing over 2 pounds either trip.

Today, the water was smooth and glassy...perfect.  First fish was a four pounder (pic1) on a popper.  Picked up another at 3 pounds 6 ounces (pic2), also on the popper.  Continued to get bit on poppers and buzzbaits until 11:20 in the morning.  Ended up with a dozen fish.  Missed many more, one was quite porky (over 5 pounds), but it jumped & tossed the buzzbait.  I also got this nice big Bluegill (pic3) on a buzzbait.  The Bluegill was 1 pound 1 ounce, and FAT.

I'll be out there all week in the morning.  PM me if anyone wants to hook-up.

Bryan

Nice   Bluegill are pretty scrappy that one would have been a battle on ultralight look at the size of his tail
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Looking good dude.  The heat this week should only help the early topwater bite.  The frog bite should pick up as well with the afternoon sizzle.  Don't neglect the zoom horny toad, I'v been getting consistant action with it in the places that choke the buzzbait.

Bryan-

Your still killing them out there. I'm itching to get in on some top water action but, realistically, it'll be about a week or two before I'm able to get out there. Hope they're still biting then... I'm sure you'll be letting us know...
