Duane,

That is one crazy paddle and you need to watch the current.  It will pull you south towards Treasure Island and you may miss Angel Island.  It may not be in your favor but then again, you are a strong paddler.

I have a proposition for you Dave and Frank.  Check your PM.

Tides for Angel Island (west side) starting with June 21, 2008.

Pat,

Where are you launching?  I need to take my Battleship out for a test run after getting some work done on the motors, so maybe we can cover the guys.  What's you PB look like?  I hear Striped bass are running as well so it should be a crazy weekend.

Duane-

I may be able to get out with you guys. It'll be a gametime decision though. Let me know where and when and I'll try to make it.

131 = Tiburon Blvd/Marin.  I agree, that is one crazy plan, but the tides appear to be with you...

Yes it is a crazy paddle but looking at the water on this side of the island it is a must do. :smt007
As for the tides I don't think they will be that bad it would be hard to miss the island all together,
there is a nice beach on this side got to be some hallbut in there and there is some deep holes
I plan to hit. Right now I am downloading some waypoints to my GPS I plan to checkout.

The launch will be Early that is if Dave gets his fat over sleeping ass up he allways late :smt013
we want to launch at like 5 am to 530 am I don't plan to troll on the way over there I am just going
to paddle like a bat out of hell  :smt005  till I get there and it looks like the wind could be at or backs
in the morning that would be nice.

I think I will have lunch on the island it will be good to stretch the legs :smt004

ok chickens whos in I going to get bait right now and dave will get some tonight
lets go  :smt006

Luis I will be launching out of Berkley at around 6am with my son and two nephews, I have several places to stop and fish one of them will be Angel inland if the tide is right. I will be monitoring channel 69 for my good buddies. I have a Spectrum 18’ not much bigger than my kayak :smt044.

Pat,

Here is my 25ft Boston Whaler Commercial (the military version) that I found after a long search.  I'm going to keep this hull because it's designed for warfare and unsinkable.  The only pain is the 170 gallon gas tank and the old 2 strokes (gas guzzlers) but you need that extra insurance when your after the long fins.  Call me when you are in the water and we can check on the status of the fishing.  I'm still a kayak fan and have more fun in the yak than the battleship.  Especially when I go to the gas station to fill up 170 gallons of fuel.

Duane,

Keep my number handy in case you need help or are stranded in Angel Island.

Luis
