Launched at 6 to total white out but at least it wasn't windy trolled for 2 1/2 hours for Steelies 1 hookup lost at boatside. Switched over to bass mode and it was on throwing Wacky worms they wouldn't touch crankbaits or jigs. The bass were deep under cover and I broke off more than I landed still did well with 8 fish 18" or better biggest was about 20", and a few dinks the big boys were biting lost a really nice one to a tree I could see him just sitting there with the 6" Jogger hanging out out his jaw killed me to break him off looked like 7/8lbs.
By this time I was close to the narrows on the eastside and the wind kicks up, so I cross the lake to hit the smallie spots and most of the good points are high and dry the picture of the point is where I was nailing them a few weeks ago lost 1 really nice one that took the jogger worm he jumped a couple of times then threw the hook, smallies were sorta slow and dropshotting was tough with all the wind. Managed 4 beetween 15"/17" and a few dinks. Great to be on the water again. I sure wish LMB fought like smallies.

Nice job MickFish,

It looks like the only thing you didn't put on the boat was that little doe.

Mmmm...backstrap.

That's a real chunky small mouth. I have lived in Sonoma County my whole life and have never been on the water at Lake Sonoma. We'd really enjoy a tour someday...........

Mike

Do you know if the steelhead have gone to deep water?  I was thinking of getting up to lake Sonoma some time in the next week.

I hooked one at about 15/20'before the sun came up. I saw two guys I know in a PB and they were running downriggers at 35' and 55' they trolled for for 7hrs caught 4 all at 55'. The schools of shad were mixed up anywhere from 25' to 60'.
