Darnit Frank.  :smt010  :smt013   Maybe you didn't get the memo, I'm not out of school until Friday. :smt003  Actually I won't be able to go for another couple weeks or so.  But I swear I'm going to hook up with you one of these days.

Good luck and leave a few for the rest of us. :smt008

On the last two outings at Del Valle I haven't been using Minnows but Popsicles...Very simple setup with a 4/0 or 5/0 hook and free lining. Let the striper run a few feet and surprise. You have to have a reel you can free bail and it's a total blast. :smt002

But I swear I'm going to hook up with you one of these days.
Anytime when you get back...Just call my name and i'll be there...doo whop doo whop :smt005

Frank if your not using minnows don’t make a special trip for me, I will go and get some Popsicles and fish like you :smt004. Another secret spot can’t wait :smt007.

Frank, how are you working your popsicles?  Are you just drifting, trooching, or are you anchored?  Are you off the bottom or is your bait suspended - I suppose it might depend on the water depth.

Michael, Free lining I guess is trooching them. Usually back onto the bank and when line starts to be taken I push off/paddle towards my cast then set the hook.Best place for this method is a bank with a good drop off, usually a bank that goes from a couple of feet to a drop off of 10' to 15'.
