So I was sitting in my car the other day, eating lunch, minding my own.  The car was warm, so I had unrolled some windows.
Through the passenger window, I hear something rustling in the bushes.  I've already seen some small lizards in the area, so I lean over to peer out the window and see if I get a glimpse of what sounds to be a much bigger critter.
At the place where bushes stop, and sidewalk starts there are some wider breaks in the bushes.  I can see a bit of scaly belly in one break, and in another the tip of a tail is poking out.  Just as I'm wondering if its a gopher snake the belly part moves and reveals feet, but they are obviously separate from the bit of tail in the other opening.  There is more than one of whatever it is.
Another few seconds of mystery, and then a BIG alligator lizard crawls backwards out onto the sidewalk.  Oh yeah, and he was dragging two more BIG alligator lizards with him!

(Sorry, its just a phone picture.)

They sat there just like that for a few minutes, only letting go of the middle one and making a break for the bushes when I tried sneak in to get a super close up.  The one in the middle was effed up pretty good, and is probably now operating with just one functioning peeper.

Does anyone (Guitarzan!) have any idea what the hell these guys are doin'?  Territory (I don't think)? Mating (maybe)?  CANNIBALS (opleaseopleaseoplease :smt091 ) :smt044?  The whole 2-on-1 thing is messin' with my head!

Just another reminder of the gang violence that is all so prevalent in todays society.
I am sure the victim will get his homies together to bust a cap in their @sses very soon.
