I'm chad. fishunter's nephew. I'm headed to mendo this weekend for a one night fishfest. Probably a little late to post but if anyone is interested I'm pickin' up a  few minnows and seein' what i can do. It would be sweet to see anyone out there.               (cell) 510-520-0787

Chevy-D,
I jut got off the water @ Mendo. I fished about four hours and picked up four LMB. I was looking at gaining some AOTY points but for nada.

The guy in Lakeport said he is expecting a new batch of jumbo minnows this afternoon, so you should have some fresh fatties to use. look out for the Carp.. they are everywhere...I ran into two schools of about thirty.

I wont be able to get back over the weekend, I gotta work.

Best of luck,

S.

Lake Mendo was beautiful. calm glassy conditions. Stripers were being hooked all through the creek campground by shore anglers. mostly in the 30 inch range. i on the other hand came upslightly empty handed.  The trips was not uneventful. i was met bye a couple ncka buddies, which was truly an honor to have them show up. On 6-1 I was headed back to camp. were i met Mako 1 AKA Don Juan the Magic Man. As soon as he mentioned boils at the dam the previous week. Striper went crazy in the creek boiling' like mad men.  Juan casually hooked a 10lb+stripper on  the top water action. great trip good memories.

check the FishingReports...Allen/otobepelagic started it 6/2. There is a pic. and mention of you there. That's where you'd want to REPORT your experience.

I got nothing planned for sat/sun....minus tides may drag me up to MontezumaSlough for a reHunt, but the wind may blow me back! Who knows?  What do you have in mind?  Sat is supposed to get windy in the noon.

good to see you out of the closet! :smt003
