I've just rigged my boat for the season, so I'll be on the water tomorrow, launching from the harbor around 0700, will probably target rockies in the kelp off of the lighthouse, see who's home.

I know fishing hasn't been great to this point, but must get out, gotta paddle, gotta try!

Company welcome, chanel 69

I just got back from a walk down that way. It is blowing big time right now. It started about 10 this am. May want the check the forecast. It think it is a little better for tomorrow, but there is a big minus tide. You may want to consider Capitola or New Brighton. Some reports of wsb and small flatties that way. Good luck. Please post any results including where you decided to launch. I need good intel for this weekend.  :smt004

Good luck Paul!Captiola is fishy, but lighthouse point and south rock are producing.

One commercial guy got 8 lings off south rock yesterday.
Halibut by the mile buoy aned also in captiola by captiola reef.

Natural bridges 70 FOW limits on my buddy's 6-pack boat sunday and monday.

my forecast has it pretty darn windy right through the weekend with a tall short period fairly north windswell the whole time, plus a pair of small background south swells one after the other.

tide is minus in the morning.

not looking great for yak fishing and pretty marginal for surfing also.

seems like santa cruz or nothing through the weekend.

even then it might be a weekend to get up late, perch/striper fish the incoming tide with a long rod and a slightly heavier weight than normal.

paul, hope you get into some fish!
