Berkeley Halibut on 5-31

I fished for halibut for the first time, the only other one I ever caught was picked up while Salmon fishing (the one in the pic). Also bought live bait for first time and paddled out from Cal Sailing Club in my double boat with friend Steve. It was windy and choppy, but managed to land one that was about 24 inches, (released it like I do everything in the Bay bc of pollution) and Steve hooked up too but his line broke before the fish was seen. A fun day, didnt seem like there were many fish around, we covered more than half a mile drifting chovies and seemed like the fish were mostly somewhere else.
