 Welcome to it!
Born in 1953
scuba diving since 1969 [shhhhh!]
Certified in 1971
and still at it!
Best exercise in the world...even if you don't want the exercise.
You also can feed yourself or.....[ become a part of the food chain yourself]
Of course we are not sharks normal prey...then again niether are pieces of plastic and rubber with hooks on them for fish.
Mooch in the black seal suit looks like a big, well rigged "softbait" to me.

Moochie-

You'll have fun diving. I got PADI certified in 88 and pretty much haven't been out that much. I like free diving a lot more because of all the gear that needs to lugged out there. Too much sheeeeeeeeeeeet... Plus, I'd rather fish and pull abs. Don't need all the extra gear for that. You better start selling off you stuff to afford the gear. It gets expensive real fast... dibs on the scooter.

PADI certified in the late 80's.  Used to owned scuba gears but get rid of them since I only scuba dive once or twice a year (cheaper to rent).  Love to free dive with much less gears.

Yep, me too BUT there's nothing like going through the kelp beds of California - can't experience that in any other part of the world :smt002

Naui certified in '83.  i don't mind the cold so much, its the gear and bottom time considerations that dim my stoke.  I still like to tank it occasionally, but, for me, freediving rules.

PADI certified in '96. Haven't been since like '98. Out of all the places I ever dove Gerstle Cove is still my favorite.

Kind of sad, though, 'cause once you cross that imaginary line of the sanctuary you go from the Garden of Eden to the Mojave Desert.

Mooch, I don't think you have a hawaiian sling...you have a pole spear.
