Despite being land locked for a while, Stuart can still show "how it's done" even with the tough bite!

The local guys (fishing off a zodiac) scored a nice pair.....note how big the black rockfish is

My score for the day: a few smallish RF (all released) and kept this nice cabezon caught in 8 FOW right next to the Island - using a megabait iron with a single hooked bucktail...

Even with the beautiful scenery surrounding us, it was kinda spooky just knowing that Ano Nuevo was just around the corner

That rocky just put me in the top ten, after looking at my last fish, I saw that the mouth was open on 2 of them, it wont happen again and if its the will of the masses, Ill deduct a quarter inch off the ones in question.... either way, IM HYPED NOW!!! Its a madness I tell you!!!

the highlight was teasing joel with the many snake like sticks and kelp we found along the beach!

       the best one was that SlittheringShoulderKelp-Python!  I saw it comin....but Mooches "blood-curdlin' sceam"      STILL scared me!

 I enjoyed my little solo-mio time. I had some new gear to try out (so's I don't fumble on "the big day")!

I'm just ansty for some 2008 NCKA hookups. Maybe this year I can sneak into "the majors". I have a secret weapon now and Lingzilla is on my list. I'll even give you your jig back FH!
