Did the solo thing a few miles outside of town. The bonny doon road was closed due to a fallen power line and a tree across the road, so I went the back way through ice cream grade to make it to the beach.
Conditions were great, but the minus tide turned the water a murky brown. The swell was down and clean though.
Fished from 7-10am for only 3 fat gopher RF. They were taco sized, but I was after lings so back they went. Guess I should'a gone to SW. Used plastics in a few colors, but got the fish on a brown sparkle swimbait.
It was a nice morning, & good paddle with lots of wildlife around. Lots of time to contemplate the day's meaning.
Thoughts to all those who do what they do so that we could play.
