Yep, She is very tolerant of his sport and says that the time away is good for their relationship but, does hop a plane to join him in florida for a week or more. So it works for both of them besides he is retired.
Being in the same situation the Wife will offen ask what days i'll be gone during the week for fishing but 20 + yrs. and kids that are 14 and 16 may have something to do with that. Plus I am a pain in the ass....

WOW... I cant wait until my pain in the assedness causes my wife to get tired of me so I can leave like that.

Thats more Stripers than I have caught in the past few years. I have to find someone local to make the carpool your way so I don't have to eat those ugly gas costs by myself. Congrats on the new spot.

NICE! Stripers Jeff.  I grew up fishing San Luis Res.  Now that I have a kayak I need to get out there and hit the boils I use to see in the early am.  Have you fished SLR?

No, I have wanted to get down there, or the forebay. I bet I could get into some fish down there. For some reason I have this nack for locating stripers for some reason haha.

One of my goals is to fish for stripers on the east coast where the 40# are the norm. What you say Jeff road trip just before the season opens and hit all the hot spots until we reach the the east coast then get into some monsters?

I have a friend who does that almost every year with his Boston striper boat in tow.Then goes south to Florida for Tarpon. Takes him about two months.

I'm up for it, I have no wife/girlfriend to please, and now nor a job either. When are we leaving? Haha

Way to get into them.  Was it your favorite lure that did the damage??? 

Nope, but it will be my new favorite lure soon though!

Will be back at the same spot tomorrow. Gonna do a nice 3 mile or so float. Should take about 5 hours. Hooking up with Martin (yakuza). Hopefully I can get him and myself onto some fish. Look for our report tomorrow with some pics
