I forgot to mention that we had a Humpback popping up throughout the session - Jonny kept hearing it.  Then on the way in it surfaced about 30-40 feet off his starboard stern and close enough for all of us to see the variations in its coloring.  Good stuff right there.  (no video!      )

Sorry for no hookup invite, Art.  I stopped doing hookups for the most part when mine kept growing cobwebs...  Really though, it's such a long trip with uncertain weather windows that I feel bad posting a hookup for something other than a campout or other planned event.  Look at GimmeShelter II - blown out and cancelled.  There'll be some more hookups posted by us Humboldters, but mine are admittedly few and far between.

I was wondering if someone would question how I photo'd my camera!  The waterproof runs on the tripod - the old stand-by (with better audio, more memory cards available and an extra battery) rides in the waterproof bag for backup.   

Hey Eric, good job on the video, it turned out way better than I thought it would.  Damn that was super fun, el pescador and myself (now Hexagrammidae) are gonna have to bomb out there again.  Next time I'd like to get just one Ophiodon elongatus, but hey I'm not too picky the Sebastes miniatus and melanops tasted really f'in good!

Hey!  Glad you joined up, greenling!  Yeah, a nice elongatus was missing, but that Sebastes serranoides was cool...  and I need a Scorpaenichthys marmoratus for my AOTY points.  Haliotis rufescens is on my mind this weekend.
