Red Lake, is this the Red lake out in a group of several small lakes (West lake being one) out by Shaver lake?  If so, I jeeped my to that lake many years ago, very beautiful, ........Oh wait a minute I think that was Red Mountain lake.  Oh well, Sounds like a fun trip!  You are planning on taking lots of pictures right?

Yes. Good Luck and good pictures.

Please be sure to take pictures of your mountain bike hauling rig. I'd like to try something like that some time.

Oh, and what will you be catching at Kirman Lake?

No.  It's the Red Lake just east of Carson Pass on Hwy 88.

cant wait for this report!  Im planning the eastern waters in mid july, starting at bridgeport and headed down the 395. I know that Kirman trail and at that elevation you may FEEL THE BURN.
