I think this year is 'slow' mostly because last year was exceptional.  The previous two years never produced much salmon either.

I read the same article, or a very similar one a couple weeks ago out of Seattle. It has been a freaky year on our coast. One week the charters were cathing more albies than salmon. The tuna were just a few miles from shore, which is unheard of up here.

I'd trade a few of the cold-loving species for WSB, yellowtail and a year-round halibut fishery.

You just have to ask yourself: "what would cruz bustamante do better?"
Next election our votes won't matter anyway, as usual.  If you want accountable government you have to live in a swing state.

The sad thing is that government spending is WAY out of control and cuts need to be made.  Everytime they cut something people get upset.  I don't think this is one of the things they should have cut though.  I wander how much these cuts will actually affect the fish populations.  I also wander where all the money is going from our fishing licenses and stamps.  I wouldnt be suprised is some of the money is going to fund other BS programs.  Like I have said before- "Don't blame me I voted for McClintock".

Sorry for Hijacking the thread.
