Melt cream cheese in a microwave for a bout 45 seconds....if you don't have access to a microwave, simply secure the cream cheese box in your armpits and squeeze for a few minutes to soften....when soft enough, place the cream cheese in the tupper wear you borrowed from a friend and never bothered to return ( we are all guilty of this so don't even try to deny it)...mix in the salsa of your choice....use a fork and mash the cream cheese and mix it well with the salsa till it turns pink....and there you have it  :smt045

I used to make the same thing but with sour cream instead of the cream cheese. Good stuff!

Our variation is shredded smoked salmon (landlocked this year), steelhead or trout forked into cream cheese with diced jalapenos . Roll into a ball. If you are going to serve outdoors I usually freeze a lime or lemon and place inside the "ball" to keep the  spread cool during serving.

Awesome dip dude!

I have made that same dip for over 10 years now. I also like to add 6 diced jalapeno peppers and a can of diced chili peppers.

Beware!! do not rub your eyes after mixing Ouch!

This dip gets hotter as it sits. If you mix it the day before and leave in fridge, it will make your brow sweat!
Also if you don't have microwave handy, the tubs of soft cream cheese works best.

2 tubs of soft cream cheese
1/2 bottle of hot picante (6 to 8 oz.
1 can of diced chili peppers (1 oz.)?
6 diced jalapenos

Greatest ever!

You can mix almost anything with cream cheese and it's good one of my favs is a handful of minced Spicy Thai Basil diced sundried tomatoes a little EVOO salt to taste spread on baguette slices it's a crowd pleaser.
