Went to the beach this evening and spoke to a guy who got limits of Halibut from just outside the Mouth to the Nipple.  I'm guessing Slightly N of the Nipple and a little west.  He said he lost one inside the bay drift trolling a chovie on a 3ft leader  from a banana sinker.  Hmmm.  He also had a 9lb Starry flounder.  Biggest I every saw. He spoke with an extremely excited tone and said they had many other missed fish.  He is going back out tomorrow. I will try to catch him to see how they do.

Score= Two guys 4 Hali's and 1 starry flounder. (16ft aluminum)

I knew I should have went, I almost launched by myself, but didn't seem like a good idea at the time.

Right on! ... I guess it's true that a period of calm conditions and little swell turns the halibut bite on.   I'm planning on Friday AM and possibly Saturday too.
