If anyone is interested in trying for LMB in the Delta on Sunday May 11, I'll be out there looking to give a Big Mama Bass a Mother's Day treat.  Not sure which launch I'm going to yet, I'll let you know as the time gets closer.  Plan on exploring some new waters and moving about quite a bit to look for productive points and flats.  I usually peddle (paddle) about 5-6 miles a trip, with a few stripper trolling runs just for fun.

The morning top water bite should be good, as there were several boaters saying they did well with buzzbaits, spooks, and poppers this last weekend.  Low tide is at 5:40, and high tide is around 11:00.  Later in the morning and into the afternoon, the best selection would be worms, senkos, jigs, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits.

I'll be launching early (5:30 am) and staying until 3:00 or so.

I might be able to make it on one condition: It's my turn to catch the 8 lber (bigger would be okay as well). :smt044  One place that looks interesting, at least from satellite images, is the area in Disappointment Slough with all the tule islands and channels.  The only problem, at least for me, is we would be fighting the wind on the way home.

Anyway, I should be able to make it.  I might try some crappie jigs as well.

Cool Ben, I'd like to see you give another shot at a big bass.  Disappointment Slough looks great, and I've caught some nice bass there, as has Kevin.  We can hit that area up for bass, then try for crappie at the end of the day by the docks.  I'm going bring a few crappie jigs and some light line.  Should be fun.  Stripers too, bring a trolling plug (Yo-zuri shallow running).
