Regarding the memory cards; the 850 and 1030 (which i just bought) will use the XP cards as well as micro SD with the included adapter.  Per Olympus these cameras are tested to work with some of the larger 4-8 gig cards.  Right now you can use the Sandisc cards up to 8 and the Toshiba cards up to 4.  The only thing they said is the panoramic stitching feature will not work with the higher density cards and you have to update the cameras firmware to version 1.1 (it propably shipped with 1.0).  I did this in about 15 minutes.
