Hi Yakers:

It was quite strange going out of Santa Cruz.
I was the only Fisherman in the water. The Water was like Oil, flat
and glassy. The harbor is tied up with with the Dredger and the Water has a lot of Silt.
I did the 1 Mile Can West to the Light House with only a few bites all Day. Lots of Seals, whales and Otters which was a National Geo. Moment. I was only hit a few time but, it was good to be
back on the water.
At 5:00 Am. nothing is awake except for the Harbor Police. Parking may be payed at the Office. I still had to leave a Message on my Windsheld that I payed at the Office.

HI James:

I had Squid from Ranch 99 Mkt and Frozen Anchovies from FW.
I used a Stinger Leader  with  a Slider Egg and Barrel Clip on the end.
The Squid wasn't that good and $2 per Lb. I thing it's better to buy the Frozen in trays. I just didn't want to drive to FisherMans' Warehouse.

I was out Sunday and did not hear anything on ch. 69. I did see the whales, whale calf, seals and otters. Good thing I slathered on the sunblock before leaving. I fished up to Natural Bridges for nada. Only one good take on a fish trap. Conditions were perfect and I though there would be some accidential school fish or Lings. I was wrong. I won't be starting there for the opener. By the way Mendo thanks for the crab bait. the halibut head scored three Dungies in one pot.

Hi ScX:

I went out Sat. because I need one Day to Re-coop. for Work.
I'm glad the Head worked for you. My wife told me she was tied of
having a Toothy Critter give her the "Eye Ball" when she open the Freezer. :smt005

Eh?  :smt005

j/k, I am guessing that was a second drive to FW you wanted to avoid.  Hell, I have been to FW 3 times since last week!  Also within the last two weeks Mel Cottons, coyote b&t, sports chalet...  Man... Just, no one place has it all...
