Wind was down this morning so I worked the big water below the bridge. Not much happening in my area, so I crossed the channel and worked near horseshoe bend for one solid hookup. Fish was high teens easily. On a botched net job I managed to snag the lure on the net. Fish took a couple of good head shakes and was gone. The eyelet that connects the joint together straightened out!  :smt013

Bomber shallow diving: Chrome silver and black with a pinkish white grub trailer. ( I stored white worms with pink and there was some color transfer)

Crossed back across the channel was rougher than I prefered but good practice with choppy water for the upcoming salt season.

Brian -

That sucks. I switched to rubber nets last year and have had less tangles. I usually lip grip the big fish particularly if I am going to release them.

Losing the ONE, hurts bad! those damned RINGS!
Good for you on trying to get out on that BIG water though. I've been there SEVERAL TIMES and had to switch to plan B, after seeing the wht-caps.
Thanks for the report Brian!  gotta get in there and do that WORM-Trailer thing!
