Are you freediving at all yet? Abs?

Rich - not yet (ab diving) but I already have my ab license....as soon as I'm done with my scuba certification, I'll be looking into getting a few days off and finally do my first ab dive. Looking forward to it. :smt007

I only have one free dive trip under my belt:

I'd like to do more free diving but it's hard to find someone to free dive with my schedule at work  :smt011 As of now, I have Sunday and mondays off - so if anyone wants to hook up (prefferably in the Monterey area) please send me a PM / thanks!

Mooch, You don't know what you have started......kayaks (dive boards in our earlier days) and scuba opens up a whole new world underwater.  Monterey is where our final underwater class (mid 80's) was held. An otter took a liking to me and my gear especially the compass on my wrist. On top of that one of the students was a no-show which meant during our "buddy breathing" three of us shared one regulator. Turned out six of us could have shared it and still be no big deal.
Once down in Bonaire  my buddies and I were dared by the dive master to run to the end of the  dock and jump into fifty feet of water holding a steel tank. We had to breathe straight out of the main valve through a cupped hand while holding the tank with the other..........didn't even have a mask. Once hitting the bottom it only took a bit of adjusting and we all walked out. Maybe they even teach this now?
Have fun with it Mooch.........it's a whole new world! I might have some gear you need but it's pretty dated.
