Night fishing - LOP 4/10

I hit the water at 7:20 and headed straight to the rockpile. No love for quite a while, but then stuck what felt like a good solid fish on a jig/beaver combo. Unfortunately, I need to work on my strike, as it came off at the surface about 15' from the kayak. I estimate it was a 4-5 pounder from the  feel and view that I had. Half an hour or so later, I boated a nice chunky 18.5" incher on a 7" Mission Fish. Called it quits a little while later, and was back in the truck by 9:00. No pix today, as I left the camera in the truck...  The water is warming up nicely, it was no problem to be sitting sideways with my feet in the water to slow my drift from the very light breeze.

No, but you can see it from here, when the visibility is good  

LOP = Lake of the Pines.  Using the secret spot terminology, I think it also known as XT-71b or something like that.

And here I was, going to add a post script about the pretty cool headlamp I found for fishing at night. But you took my mojo. Now I'll just post about it in the gearing up section.
