It rained overnight, but when we arrived at 11 the lake was glass with no rain. We pulled Zooms for one 28" striper. My buddy in his pram caught it.
Pulled out in a solid 10 knots of breeze.
Pics tomorrow morn.

KICKIN BASS

Juan, I missed ya.  I ran in to Sharkbait and his buddy.  Sean kicked down on a bunch of secret agents.  I landed 3 and lost one.  Just got done eating fish tacos......No pics.  TOO FRICKIN COLD.....

I took my buddy Mike out today who has NEVER fished before. He landed 2 stripers, 2 SM and lost 1 striper at the boat. He had a blast and I'm sure he's hooked (pun intended). I managed 2 stripers and lost 1. The fish ranged from 26" to 28" with one shorty at 23". We got off shortly after the wind kicked up.

Thanks for helping my buddy out with his catch Kickin Bass and for the extra minnows which were released to fatten them boys up.

What a great first day of fishing for your buddy, congrats! I am betting that you could not have taken the smile off his face with a big stick!

No kidding, on the ride back he was asking all sorts of questions about different types of fishing and reels and how much kayaks cost. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a fully rigged fishing kayak setup by the end of summer.

I think these tell it all. Of course we had to celebrate after his first striper.

You're a "pusher," sharkbait! You've started your friend on path of rapid decline to certain madness. :smt077 Good job!   :smt002

Glad to drain my bait tank and have them go to good use.  I can't believe I didn't get a chance to use them myself  :smt088

I totally am! I told the guy, just buy a fishing license and I'll take care of everything thing else .... the first hit is free.

I was pleasantly surprised with the water level also. There was very little beach parking at the south ramp.
