Well both my dad and girlfriend bailed out on me but I want to give it a shot anyway.  I figure a launch betwen 6:30 and 7:00 I would love some tips on spots to fish because I have never been there before.  I have a new soft plastic I am duying to try out as well as some old favrotes.  This will be my first solo ocean trip other than turneys so compony would be more than welcome.  Also what vhf channels should I moniter?  wow that was a spelling disaster!

Stillwater is a super spot, GoldenArrow.  Head for those first rocks out from the launch and you might get a cabezon.  Head for the kelp to your left and you can try for nice kelp rockfish.  Continue north and you can find lings.  IT's all good.
I will probably be doing Monterey Bay on Wednesday, launch from beach in front of MBK, looking for a halibut I missed last week.
