I saw the picture of the gator with the deer a few years back.  Looking at the trees in the background you can see they're draped with spanish moss, placing the photo somewhere in the bayou most likely.  ;)
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

Suckers!!!! .... well at least the pics are real, even if the story is a fake like many others.

Hey Fuzz... thanks for finding that Snopes page and exposing the truth.

Usagi.... I love that pic of the pups mauling the stuff toy.  Hilarious!

You beat me to it!  Spanish moss is the first thing that gave it away for southeast.  Awesome pictures!

Are you sure that's real?  Anyone check on snopes to confirm?

Dog Pack Attacks Gator in Florida

At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain  justice manifested within that cruelty.

The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the  'apex predator', can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and 'survival of the pack
mentality' bred into the canines. See the remarkable photograph below courtesy of Nature Magazine. Note that the
Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator.

Not for the squeamish!
Did anyone verify if those pups are real...?
Real video footage here

Busted....But I did see a flying saucer land or submerge itself just under the Dumbarton bridge back in the 60's. Of course I was on the way to a Hendrix concert and it may have had something to do with the refreshments :smt028

Dude, that was Jimi's ride!  :smt004
