Hi All,

I need some help on what to look for when it comes to weather forcast. What conditions are suitable for a fishing day. What is good or bad when it comes to wind and swell. I have done some fishing here and there
but I need to learn some more what conditions are safe and what is not safe. I'll Appreciate any help.

If your talking about ocean.....then it depends on the location.  Does the wind work in your favor?  Is your location protected in a North wind or South wind?  With a North wind I know that Half Moon Bay will be protected.  Bean Hollow is open so you would look at the swells and surf conditions.  Linda Mar is protected in a South wind.

8 to 10 footers and it will be not a Nice ride.  I keep my VHS radio on when I am leaving home and when I get to my spot.   Also, you have to use your judgement on how it is at your spot.  The VHS will give you general info.  But, if you get out there and see it not to your liking...then I would head on in.  There are more other days to fish.

Some times it does get better...but, most times it gets worst.  5 or 6 footers is a good day...2 or 3 is perfect.

Go get the Rockcod, Cabbies and Ling.   Probably, going to closed in June or July.   At least from HMB to Mendo.

NO Website,

Your VHS radio (weather channel) will give you better info than a website.

Where are you thinking of going out of?
