Has anyone heard any news about the annual Coyote Point paddlefest being cancelled? The website has apparently been removed. Googling the website showed a brief incimplete line about the event being cancelled at Coyote Point due to beach erosion. I presume they couldn't find another suitable site to hold the event on a last-minute notice.

Aquan will be doing a smaller version of this. They will be inviting several other manufacturers and they plan to have it at the San Mateo Aquatic Park. Details to follow....

If you would like to volunteer at this event, send me a PM / thanks.

The paddlefest pulled out at what amounts to the last minute as far as scheduling goes.  Chuck and I are going to try to setup another shark derby probably around Spring of '08.

Hey Guy's this is right from the horse's mouth or at least one of them.
The Association or the board that held the paddlefest each year had a reelections, new presidents and so on.
and they decided there would be no paddlefest or anything similar.
That's all I know for now.

Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.
