Well-
It was a good and bad day on the water. First the bad...I was on the water about ten minutes, digging for my favorite bait when I felt something move on my wrist, then i heard a "Plop". I looked down just in time to see my $80 watch fall into the drink.

Not a good way to start.

After three hours of nothing, it happened...Down went the rod tip and the fight was on...after a few minuted she was aboard the yak. I had just landed the biggest bass of my life.....A 24 inch HAWG!

I'm sure glad i signed up for the AOTY the night before. could you imagine if i didn't?

as I was headed home this yahoo in a yellow bass-boat rolled up on me...he picked up his rod and made a beautyfull cast...as his bait sailed threw the air then hit the water, he looked toward his real. This could only mean on thing.......Yep, a backlash!

I thought to myself a $35,000 boat and he still can't fish. Just then my rod tip went under again. I held the three pound bass up and whistled to my new neighbor...as he looked over, I let the little fella go.

Now that was funny.

Fish on!

Fish on!

Nice fish! I had a similar incident last Tuesday at Mildred Island. I paddled past two guys in a bass boat, they saw me and they were talking to eachother saying look at this guy, he thinks he can catch a fish in that thing, laughing together. After a few casts I hooked up with a nice striper. Their smiles were soon gone! I love it!

"Oink, Oink" said the hawg.   Nice pig.  Great work out there today.  Too bad about the watch.  Way to stick it to the Power boaters!

Great report, Slammer.  That's a fatty.  I feel sorry for the poor powerboater though!   :smt005  I've had my share of dirty looks from the PB  crowd and even one a-hole who tried to run over a salmon I was playing.  There's alot of good PB'ers out there too though that support and admire our ways.   :smt001
