Quite a ways from Salinas...     but you should try to come!

Zoom Google Earth in on it - just about directly west of Redway, which is in Southern Humboldt County along 101.

It's a good 6 or 7 hours. A stress-free ride once you get past Santa Rosa.

Pat (Sin Coast) and I will be driving up late Thursday or early Friday March 13 or 14 from Seaside/Marina.  Figure 7-8 hours and best to time it so you do not pass the SF Bay during traffic.

Watch out for evening traffic on 101 at Santa Rosa too...

As well as Central San Rafael, Petaluma, and Cotati!     Yikes!  Try to avoid that time altogether...
