Well I've been reading everything I could find online for the last month...

finally just went out and got a Ride 135...

I'm getting old..53 but in decent condition
6 ft 220 lbs and into fly fishing..
I'll mostly be doing lakes and rivers for now...

prolly run into a few of you all out on some water..
I'll be in a spruce green Ride 135 with green rods..

thanks for all the opinions

thanks for the welcome

seems most of the kayakers here are on the coast..
are there many inland water kayakers here ?

I've had power boats..but seems over the years I prefer the peaceful quiet of canoes and now kayaks..

see ya on the water

mike

Hi fisherbaer and welcome to ncka. Make sure to post in the hookups section if you make it down to the bay area.

Hi Fishbaer,

If you want to meet other freshwater kayakers in the Saramento area, a good way to do it is to just start a new thread titled something like "Sacramento Area Kayakers?" or something like that, and post it in the Hookups section.  I know there are members in your area.  Just a suggestion and good luck,  -Matt

FB'er welcome.  I also reside int he "City of Trees"  or just south of.  I'm always looking for an excuse to get out on the water.  I've been trying to entice a couple of friends to join the madness but they still like the security of the PB or being a shore maggot.

A great suggestion is post to the Hook - Ups for a local outing here.  There are  a few of us who are a little more land locked than our bay area friends.

I need more time on the water and still trying to work out the outfitting of my Tarpon 140.  Looking forward to getting out in the water with you and some of our Sac people.
