I am thinking of going to Discovery Bay tomorrow after work to search for some bass. Ive never been but my boss said to try it since he has doing good there. Can anyone give me directions to where to launch my yak? And what are their launch fees there. I have tried to find it in the past by just driving around but no luck. Thanks in advance!

I've never launched there, but I think some guys launched at the marina to hunt for stripers when they were on.  Look like it's ten bucks, but I seem to remember them giving yaks a break if you launch to the side of the ramp.  Here is a link to what they call the yacht harbor.  http://www.discoverybayyachtharbor.com/pages/information.htm
I would check it out, but fishing is only a weekend thing for me these days.  Post up some results if you get to it, curious about the water quality.....

Got ya Covered :smt002

Go down to the main launch/ marina.  park in the launch parking lot and carry your Yak over to the

gas pump docks, just west of the launch ramp, it's free. If you use the main launch ramp $10 bucks.

If you want to feel like your doing the right thing, just go up to the Harbor master's office where launch

fees are paid and ask them. They should tell you the same thing I just said. they have always been

 very nice.

 Fishing.... :smt012

I have not done so well but, there is a deep hole just west of the marina towards the docks,

I've picked up a few trolling along the wall towards the main slough out of there....

 Good Luck :smt006
