Thinking of a Rockaway launch in the near future.  There is talk of a reef just beong the point and it is a short paddle to Mori point and maybe salmon.  

If it is calm it will be the south side if it is rough forget it.

dude - just launch from Linda Mar - I'm sure you can make the paddle to Rockaway easily.

Chris / cpyak caught a he-uge halibut inside Rockaway Bay a few years back. I believe he actually ditched his kayak in the surf and pulled in the hali from the shore.

yeah it was 43". i think it was 4 seasons ago now, i was not as geared up as i am now and i could not get it in the boat so i towed it ashore. anyway, mike, colm and i are fishing linda mar after work today, hoping for the inshore salmon season to begin in earnest.
