went out with a buddy about 2pm after short day at work.  Slow at start, then toward bottom of tide we ended up getting a half dozen or so...nothing big, nothing small. Did have one fish actually break me off after a violent strike, 8lb leader probably had a fray.
all on red gulp worms

Sounds fun, but I REALLY want some photos from a report like this!  I googled Limantour and found this:

Lots of dogs south of the parking lot

Limantour Beach Activities: Swimming
Getting to Limantour Beach: Just north of Olema on CA 1
Turn left onto Bear Valley Road
Turn left onto Limantour Road, 11 miles to the free parking lot

Surf fishing nude...now that's an accident waiting to happen!   :smt044  I can see the story in It Happened To Me...  "So there I was at Limantour, slathered with sunscreen and enjoying a little fishing and fresh air, when suddenly my bail flipped prematurely during a cast...causing the hook to...YOW!"  :smt044

I second the call for pics! Seriously, Limantour is a great place to go surf fishing for perch. A couple years ago I took a buddy there for his first time fishing for surf perch and the bite was off the hook all day long. Lots of red tail, with most of them going 12" - 13". It was unreal, but he's now ruined. We have gone out several times since then and only had ordinary days, and he can;t figure out why he's not catching monster perch on every cast anymore.  :smt044

LOL, that's classic. I guess there is such a thing as having too good of a day on the water. Ruined indeed!!

You all should know by now that i just finally bought a digital camera. Now IF i happen to remember to carry it, AND i then remember to break it out and take a picture, I hardly ever remember to upload them to my PC.
This time i didn't even bring the camera...here's something to keep you occupied.

LOL....that was from The Day last Sept, flat calm- out at 6am-- 23 miles out of HMB 68degree water, first 30min, single, next 30min quad (three to boat), next 30min triple- then two more on bait, plus a couple lost, wait an hour- double followed by one on bait to boat (and a few more lost)- that's this pic- they're like 30-35lbs.  We decided that a dozen hogs was plenty- though we could have easily sunk the boat.

If you remember Chuck i called you like 1 or 2pm from the dock- with the boat all washed, and fish all dressed and bagged.

That day would have been perfect for landing an albie from the yak...we had fish boiling on the bait stops, but with two guys its tough!
