It has been below zero for two months here and I have too much time to think. What about a yak with our basic SOT design but with a scull cockpit?. Facing backwards you could watch your rods trolling, two oars would provide more power than paddling and a sliding seat would allow you to use your back and legs for power.  The seat could be slid all the way back, turned around and locked for a surf landing.  I think it would work for angling.

No yak reports here, but my friend and I did spend all day yesterday to catch one perch. Yeah, I know...................


So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........
