Not to beat a topic to death, but I took my neoprene gloves that got soaking wet in 'the storm' and sprayed the heck out of them with Scotch Guard. I let them set for an hour then tossed them in the dryer with a towel until they were completely dry.
I have used them twice since then and they work well. I have submerged my hand and the water never entered. It beaded right off when I took my hand out of the water too.
I am going to see how long this lasts. So far it sure beats the heck out of buying a new pair of gloves.

It should work out indefinitely for you, Mike. However, you may have to reapply the Scotgard often. I used to Scotchgard my jeans whenever I went skiing...worked just fine. Only side effect was that whenever I fell in the snow, I left a blue tinted depression in the snow.
