Only one striper on a jumbo minnow, smaller than my 1st entry.
Talked to one kayaker who got a 10 lber while fishing for LMB with a rattle trap.
Still pluggin' away. Time put in will equal quality fish sooner or later.

Tote-

I got a call from Stuie saying that he saw you heading east on 50... He was heading west and saw you around ED Hills... I guess it's pretty hard to miss that yak of yours... At least you got out this weekend.

Hmm...  Not sure where the secret spot is located, but I saw you eastbound on 50, just past ED Hills at 2 PM.

Sorry for the threadjack.

The family was up at Tahoe.  Friday afternoon was a little breezy, but Saturday was GEORGEOUS!!

Sunday was quite different.  Wind gusts in excess of 30 MPH and raging with white caps

The "protected" launch ramp:

This place was SCARY.  No wonder there were no boat trailers in the lot.

But I was amazed to see two guys fishing in these conditions.  They had their rods in holders while they sat in the cab of their truck.  I was thinking they were nuts, but in a bucket were 2 browns, one of which was a thick 5lber.  It was a really nice fish.  Both were still alive in the bucket, so they must have just caught them.  A few minutes later and they were battling another one.  Trying to land it with huge waves breaking was quite a spectacle.  With a really long handled net, they finally landed a 18-20" rainbow.  All fish were caught on live minnows, with a sliding sinker.
