Well I don't know WTF happened to me but I got totally anal about my tackle.
Everything has a place and it all gets put away after each trip.
definitely helps with my CRS.
Depending on what kind of fishing I am doing I can get what I need at a glance.
I just toss what I need into either a plano double sided tackle box or one of the single trays like you see in the photos.

I have a Maurauder that has tons of storage.
I fit a kitty litter box inside the hull w/ drain holes to contain my tackle boxes, which are "lock & lock" boxes that fit thru the 8" hatch in front of me.
They can be left on deck because they are waterproof and float, unless totally filled w/lead.

I seem to have settled on a couple "lock n lock" boxes for on-the-yak use too.

true they are waterproof, but once you open them, the ocean has a way of getting inside. but they are easy to dry out.

this was my problem with the binders of ziploc bags. salt water always got into every single bag,  :smt010.

Tote,
The organization you show is incredible. I wish I could do that.  I will clean the garage on Saturday, and by Thursday it's a mess again.  I can see, and appreciate, how nice it would be to know exactly where everything is.  You are in inspiration.

Tote you are going to make some Fisherperson very happy someday  :smt044

If all my stuff was that organized I would have no reason to go to a tackle shop :smt013 or I could just go to Mike's house :smt002

Wow!  After reading about your CL Bust, recently, how hard would it be to have one container that you always have with you with some emergency fishin cash in it?

I do have an emergency stash but I had cut into it. I took out extra cash that day to replenish it. never got around to it so it sat in my wallet.
There is now $100+ stashed in the vehicle in a well hidden spot that wil stay there until I sell it or have to use it for a real emergency.

I should "Practice what I preached"  Only cash I have in my truck is the coins in the ashtray. (Which I just emptied out $14 worth) If I forget my wallet, I'm hosed!
I can safely stash some$$ in my fish bag, but would probably forget about it during the season, and probably even after I realized I needed it, would've forgot I placed.
I think in the truck would be a better option for me. :smt044
