Needed some time on the water today, so opted for a quick trip to the South Jetty of Humboldt Bay for some crabbing just past high tide.  4 wheeled down to the launch and had a little cove all to myself for a couple of hours.  Was hoping for a jumbo Dungeness, but it didn't happen.  I did keep a fat rock crab.  Logged 2.2 miles messing around pulling and resetting two rings with the remnants of the salmon bellies from last time.  I need more miles.   :smt001

 :smt006 Hey A.K.,

No crabby luck this time around, eh?  Well at least you got out on the water.  :smt001   I'm crabbing the mouth of Big River all day tomorrow.   Haven't been out since the storms, and crabs or not, am past due for some serious "peace through estuary therapy"  :smt002  Will write a report Sunday night.  Well, it's off to bed for an early start.  Cheers, -Matt

Even when they're little, it's still fun to go through all the motions like we would if they were bigger.
