This hit the paper today. I know the flows have been kind of high, but who knows what happened.

Kayaker Missing

When I find out more info I'll post it.

Be careful!

Hope it all comes out good. My biggest fear would be all the snags in the water with the increased flows.

I wonder what he was wearing.  The water is colder than the ocean, so a wetsuit alone would likely not prevent hypothermia if he was immersed.  Hope it turns out OK...

Strainers don't care what you're wearing or what level experience you have. They don't discriminate. When I was just beginning kayaking 15 years ago I went alone down a small river on the San Mateo coast. It was high and dirty from a good rain. I was in a sit-inside Kiwi and was having a blast until I came across a tree laying in the way. There was no stopping or pulling over, brush on both sides. I ran into it and before I knew it I was upside down, pinned, and scared as heck. I fought the current and popped out of the yak and lucky it was only waist deep. I'll never forget that, lesson learned.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

He's turned up, alive and well -- at least until he sees his wife.  He's got some 'splaining to do...

Glad he's okay; he's been in the back of my mind all day.
Still, I wonder what happened, if anything.

That river moves pretty good 15 miles in a little over 2hrs>

I hope his WAF beats him mercilessly.

Just my opinion.
