Decided to start the year of on the right foot and went fishing.
Took the yak to the Port Of Sacto and launched around 12:30 with a dozen jumbo minnows.
Only landed one striper between 21''and 22''...BUT.....because I do not have the official AOTY measuring device yet I am going to call this one 20.5''.
I at least drew first blood for the year even though I released it unharmed.
It is quite a challenge to get an accurate measurement AND a photo when you are FROZEN and the fish is flopping all over the place.
VERY much looking forward to the new measuring device for when I catch a contender!!!
I had to pick a different place to land then from where I launched because of the tide drop and no way could I get out from where I launched.
It was close enough to the vehicle not to even make a difference.
You can see the change in water height between the first and last pics. Same spot.

Tote,
Looks like you were the only one out there.  I thought Lake Natoma might be worth trying, but it was too cold for me this morning.
Where'd you buy the bait?

Mark

Broadway Bait. I called the other day to make sure they would be open.

WTG Mike-

I've been wanting to try the Port but, didn't want to try for a stripper when I already had one on the board. It's different story now though. I hear some hogs come out of there.
