C-lake toad patrol

very cool post congrats on the cl toads!!  what color jigs did you throw? i hear purple jigs are the way to go this time of year up there!!!

Nice lookin Clearlake toads. Amazing lake! I wish I lived closer to it. It is just too far for a day trip for me. Silly Valley toad have gone dormant and I am getting serious toad withdrawals.

 Jfish,   I tend to try and match jig color to crawdad color of the area Im fishing. Up here I stick with greenpumpkin or brown/orange combos in the shallows. I go darker when im fishing deeper or at night.
 Im no jigmaster but I do believe that its about presentation/imitation more than color. Be the crawdad.
