Bundled up this morning and took the P13 (its anchor friendly) out to China Camp.  Didn't have the depthfinder, so I anchored up just behind rat rock and fished the drop off there, as it was the easiest structure to recall from memory.
It was cold early on, but warmed up a bit as the day went on.  There was a breeze, and except for about an hour or so, never got past that.
An hour before the tide peaked, a 20+" striper took my offering of grass shrimp.  Besides a big crab, that was all the action I saw for the day.
Called it a couple hours into the outgoing.
Striper released.

Almost.  Except I realized it was just a wee schoolie, so it was more like "PANK!- oh..."

It's always been my experience, that the last couple hours of the outgoing is best for dinos. Right after the big tidal rush and it starts to slow down is the time to be glued to your rod tip.... :smt002
