What are you favorite buffets in the South Bay?  Seafood preference of course.

DON'T EVER EAT AT CRAZY BUFFET on winchester in SJ.

It was the grossest meal I've ever had (and I'm vietnamese so that's sayin' something)

Fire and Ice - Heavenly Village, South Lake Tahoe.  The food is actually really high quality - they make their money on the fact that you're full after waiting 10 minutes or so per plate as the master spatula-flippers prepare everyone's little bowls of raw food on a giant wok/grill with all the eaters circled around watching the entertainment.  It's fun and worth the $20 (don't drink too many $5 beers though!)   :smt001

Harvey's Seafood Buffet South Shore. I Think Tote agrees
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Ooops, I missed "south bay" - oh well, it's a faster drive to SLT than to Humboldt!   :smt001

Bay Buffett, off monterey rd. somewhere. I haven't been there myself, but heard that it's quite good.
Yummy Buffett, off of Capital expressway and Silver Creek/King rd. Been there a few times, it's pretty good.
Both places were just open recently.
Make sure you get there for early dinner, when the dinner food is just brought out.

I'll second todai, you get it free if it's your birthday too if you're not alone.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.
